Disc Golf Tee Sign Installation
Standard Tee Signs: Hot-dipped galvanized steel pipe and frame, Lexan sign panel, all weather durability.
Tee Sign Placement
There is no standard location for placing a tee sign in relation to the tee. The most common locations for tee signs are off to either side of the tee generally behind the approach to the tee. This allows easy reference to the tee sign while not obstructing the drive. Make sure throwing from the tee is not obstructed in any way while still being easy to see. Try and keep tee sign location consistent from one tee to the next.
Tee Sign Pole Installation for Standard, Sponsor and Course Signs
Drill hole with an 8” or 12” auger or use a post hole digger to dig a 2 foot deep hole. Add 6” or more of drainage rock to the bottom of the hole. Insert pole into hole making sure grade marker on pole is even with ground level.
Make sure the hex locking screw hole at the top of pipe is facing opposite the front of the tee sign. If you are facing the front of the tee sign, the third hole faces down the fairway towards the basket. The hex locking screw hole is the third hole that only goes through one side of the pipe.
Use river rock or gravel to stabilize the pole in the hole and fill the rest of the hole with concrete to ground level. Level pole and let set for 7 days prior to installing sign frame.
Decal Installation
You may choose to apply the decals to your tee signs before placing the frame on the Pole. This will give the concrete time to dry while you prepare the signs.
Use a pair of scissors or razor blade to cut out your desired decals from the sheets provided. Place these decals on one-by-one until you have an appropriate representation of the hole layout.
We recommend that you do not try to represent every tree and bush on these signs. This will take a long time and may make the sign look cluttered. To keep the signs simple but still give an adequate representation of the hole only place decals for the main landmark and/or hazard trees and bushes.
Do the same for the number decals provided for the par and distance areas. Once all decals have been applied, carefully place the tee sign protective laminate cover over the entire sign in order to prevent the decals from coming off. This laminate is also graffiti resistant.
